Taiyo International, Minneapolis, MN, has obtained halal certification from the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) for its Sunphenon manufacturing facility, Taiyo Green Power, as well as its complete line of Sunphenon green tea extracts and matcha powder. The MUI, after examining, inspecting and auditing the manufacturing facility and all ingredients, has declared that all Sunphenon® extracts and green tea powders produced at the Taiyo Green Power facility are halal according to the Islamic Law and thereby suitable for use by Muslims.
